Acceptable Use Policy
At Henry's Hub we turn your photos and ideas into beautiful personalised metal wall art. We love seeing what you create with us, and most people use our design studio exactly as you'd hope. This page simply sets out the few things we can't help with, so that everyone is treated fairly and your order arrives without a hitch.
It's written in plain English and it's not meant to be scary. Please do have a quick read before you upload anything or place an order. By using our design studio, uploading an image, or placing an order, you're agreeing to the rules below.
What you may not upload or ask us to create
Because we print and post a physical product, we have to be careful about what goes onto the aluminium. Please don't upload, or ask us to create, anything in the following categories.
Things protected by copyright or trademark
- Cartoon, film, TV or video-game characters (for example characters from animated films, superheroes, or game franchises).
- Brand names, logos and slogans that belong to someone else.
- Sports club badges, crests, kits or team emblems.
- Artwork, illustrations, photographs or designs created by someone else that you don't own or have permission to use.
Photos of people without their permission
- Celebrities, public figures, athletes, musicians or other well-known people.
- Photos of other people, including children, unless you are that person, or their parent or guardian, or you have their clear permission to use the image.
- Someone else's pet, unless you own the pet or have the owner's permission.
Anything illegal, harmful or deeply personal
- Anything unlawful, or that encourages or helps anyone to break the law.
- Hateful, harassing, threatening or discriminatory content, including anything that targets people because of who they are.
- Sexual, nude, intimate or explicit images.
- Non-consensual face-swaps or "deepfakes" — putting someone's face onto another image, or creating a fake or misleading picture of a real person, without their agreement.
- Any image of a child that is sexual or indecent in any way. There are no exceptions to this, and we will report such material to the authorities, as the law requires.
If you're ever unsure whether something is allowed, the simplest rule is this: only upload photos you took yourself or clearly have the right to use, and only ask us to create designs that are yours to make. If in doubt, just email us first at sales@henryshub.co.uk and we'll happily point you in the right direction.
Your responsibility when you upload
You know your photos and ideas far better than we ever could, so when you upload an image or ask us to create a design, you're confirming a few important things to us:
- that you own the image, or you have permission from the person who does, to use it in this way;
- that any people or pets in the image are yours, or you have their owner's or their permission to include them;
- that the image and the design you've asked for don't break any of the rules on this page; and
- that you're happy for us to use it to create and print your personalised artwork.
Because you're the one who chooses and uploads the image, you also agree to cover us if your choice causes a problem. In plain terms: if someone brings a claim against Henry's Hub — for example a rights-holder, or a person pictured in a photo — because you have broken one of the rules on this page, or because something you told us above turns out not to be true, you agree to be responsible for that claim and for the reasonable, foreseeable costs and losses that directly result from it. Lawyers call this an "indemnity". It only ever applies where the problem was caused by your own breach of these rules — it doesn't take away any of your legal rights as a consumer, and it won't affect you at all as long as you stick to the rules above.
Our right to refuse, cancel and refund
We'd always rather make your wall art than turn an order away, but to keep everyone safe we have to keep the final say. If we reasonably believe something breaks this policy, we may, at our discretion:
- decline to create a design or print an order;
- cancel an order before or after it's been placed; and
- give you a full refund for anything we cancel for this reason.
We'll always try to let you know if we do this, and where we can we'll explain why and help you put it right. For anything involving indecent images of children, we will also report it to the relevant authorities, as the law requires.
Spotted a problem? Tell us and we'll act quickly
If you're a rights-holder, or a person or pet owner who appears in a design, or you simply have a concern about something you've seen, please get in touch and we'll take it seriously straight away.
Email us at sales@henryshub.co.uk with as much detail as you can — for example a link to or description of the design, and why you're concerned. We'll review it promptly, remove or stop anything that shouldn't be there, and reply to let you know what we've done. You don't need any special wording or a solicitor to contact us; a friendly email is all it takes.
How this fits with our other policies
This Acceptable Use Policy works alongside our Terms of Service, which cover how orders and our made-to-order products work, and our Privacy Policy, which explains how we look after your photos and personal information. If you'd like to make a data request or raise a complaint, please see our Data requests and complaints page.
Thank you for reading, and for helping us keep Henry's Hub a safe and happy place to make something special. Now, let the magic happen.
